Alphidia is a company that has been in my head for many years. Since founding my first manufacturing company in August of 1990, I have enjoyed the process of creating new products, businesses, and services that solve real problems in the world. With the founding of Alphidia, I am formalizing and systematizing what I have been doing for 23 years. And, I am offering the skill sets and knowledge learned over many years of trial and error to folks like you.
One of my biggest frustrations with product development is that too much time is spent early in the process trying to create perfection. This is a huge waste of time. Regardless of how smart or clever you think you are, you know nothing until you place a physical object into the hands of a potential customer.
In your head, the world is perfect and filtered in a rose colored hue. You mentally can see your product or service in all its glorious perfection. If you listen carefully you can probably even hear a chorus of angels far off in the distance singing the praises of your creativity. But alas, they are not angels at all. They are Sirens singing a tune of fantasy that will drive you and your idea onto the rocks if you aren’t paying attention.
Alphidia is different. We believe in sweat, tears and effort to construct crude prototypes and thrusting them into the world to get user feedback and insights early. Yes, it’s messy. But like early, utterly imperfect life springing from the primordial pool, you are creating the foundation for developing something remarkable.
Fail early, fail often, as fast as possible. It is this mantra that amazing comes into being.
